How Real is a Dream?

I remember as a young boy, looking up at the sky, looking at everything around me – so beautiful – and thinking, “This moment is going to pass,” and I am telling myself, “I want to remember this when it changes. I want to remember that I was lying on this grass, looking up at the sky and thinking that this is only for a moment; the physical experience.” I still remember that. And I remember very clearly being conscious in dreams of finding a priceless coin. Repeatedly I would want to wake up from the dream holding the coin and thinking, “Oh my God, now I will wake up with this coin,” the coin was so real. Then waking up and no coin.

We live in this experience every day. Why is it that we do not contemplate the temporary nature of life around us? It is so changing, it is so unpredictable. That is the Maya; we are so held in what is not real as real, and we do not even think that we are held in this false reality. We are so gripped by it that we do not even think. Those who have made the journey appear in the space reminding us, “Hey, what you are looking at is not real! What you are experiencing is not real. There is a greater reality.” Only those who are ready and receptive will begin to see the truth of that. Sri Vasudeva

Are we Sleeping in the Consciousness?

The wise say that this experience of waking life is just a longer dream, which means we are actually sleeping in the consciousness, because we know that dreams happen when we are sleeping. Is it true that we are held in an illusion, and what we are experiencing as reality isn’t so? That there is a greater reality than what we are experiencing? Is there?

Every day, you watch how that which you hold as a reality is ever changing. Things disappear around you: people whom you know, their body goes back to nature; pets that you have, they go back to nature; plants that you have, they go back to nature. You are seeing a constant change and flux in the space, and that which you hold close and dear today is going to leave you someday. What do you call a changing experience, if not dream-like? So why do we give so much attention to what is changing around us, as the reality? Why do we hold on to it so much, only to realize that it goes away, just like the dream? Which one of you is going to stay in that constancy of the physical?                          Sri Vasudeva

The Great Masquerade

In this Maya God is masquerading as the ego and we get caught in that masquerade.     Sri Vasudeva Day 22 Forty days 2017. For full talk and meditation go to  www.

The Divine is Playing In and Through us

pexels-photo-369433.jpegIn the last week I’ve been trying to show you how the Divine has blissfully entered a play with itself.  It is playing with itself, contracting its consciousness through what is called Maya and the Divine is playing in an ignorant version of itself.  So who is playing?  The Divine is playing in and through us, not that we are playing in our ignorance.  It is the Divine that is playing in and through us and it’s blissfully playing .  So underneath this consciousness that we’re experiencing as Self is a blissful part of being, Consciousness, that is in play.

But you’re not going to realize that in your ordinary consciousness.  We don’t even think we are divine in our ordinary consciousness but we are divine.  It is the Divine that is becoming human.  It is the Divine that is human but yet we think we are not divine.

And I tried to show you that this is an energetic play.  It is a play based on subtle energies.  And that Consciousness has been veiled in steps such that we have a mental part of us in the contraction; and then our Consciousness has been veiled at different levels to give us a relationship with the elements of Nature and a play of the senses.  So the mind, which is the manas part of the mind, it is in play with the senses.  But of course the ego that is there in mental operation – the ego only appears in mental operation and it only appears in the contraction.  If the consciousness is expanded infinitely, the ego loses its separation.

So the magic of the Maya is that we feel lost even though there is infinite consciousness in our being.  so if we are able to understand this play, the understanding can help us to work through this play.  There is no perishing in this play because the Divine is playing with its immortal Self.  How can it perish?  Perishing is only in the mind.  It’s not in the Reality.   Sri Vasudeva Day 22 Forty days 2017. For full talk and meditation go to  www.

Uncovering The Veil of Maya

Our physical senses bring the experience of the gross body and the gross field. Just observe what grossness is; the heaviness of the body, the connection to the earth, the fire in the body, the water in the body the air…the gross elements.

Then observe the field behind the gross; the subtle field. Observe the senses at work. You have the sense of smell,  of taste,  of sight,  of touch, and of hearing. They are related to the elements, so smell and the earth; taste and water; seeing and fire; touching and air; hearing and space.

Then you have that subtle aspect of the senses, where you are hearing not only the physical world, but you are hearing in the subtle world as well; you can hear your thoughts in a subtle sense. You can see inner lights in a subtle sense. You can get divine aromas in a subtle sense. You can taste in a subtle sense.

Observe the mind’s activity

Observe  how the mind is associated with all of these; the subtle experience of the elements and the gross experience of the elements. If we were to create a thought, it would be in the manas nature of the mind. Observe how the reasoning aspect of the mind is being used in a very subtle way to understand what I am saying  and to use the guidance. You are using the intellect; that intelligence function.

Become aware of the Shiva Shakti relationship

Then observe the background consciousness of being. There is a consciousness aspect that is related to all the energies that you are experiencing, and that consciousness energy relationship that you are observing is the Shiva Shakti relationship. It is the field that is conscious of change and involved in change.

Then there is another aspect; a totally independent witness.  Here we are observing the play of Māyā.  When we feel that there is something guiding our actions and our thoughts – and we can feel that something is moving the body, moving the mind, moving the breath; that is Kuṇḍalinī. That is the evolutionary energy that is supporting the created experience, or world, whilst driving the evolutionary process. That is Kuṇḍalinī within you. Sri Vasudeva Day 9 Forty days 2017. For full talk and meditation go to  www.
