Meditation on the Subtle Energy Space

pexels-photo-132344.jpegBreathe down to the root, and then breathe with attention up the spine, giving attention to every area where the senses are connected: root chakra and smell; sacral chakra and taste; navel chakra and light, seeing; heart chakra and touch, feeling; throat chakra and space, ākāsh, and; then the mind, centre of the eyebrows. So let the breath revitalize every area that you can see it clearly.

Now an important point is to observe whether the prāṇa is energizing you, whether you are becoming aware of these areas of the senses, and whether you are having an even breath. Go to that place where the breath can be more even, where the prāṇa can be more steady, and begin to revitalize those areas, regulate the prāṇa, and begin to observe what happens to the mind when you do.

Keenly observe whatever thoughts are arising in the mind; they are coming from the chitta, the memory store. Learn to develop a relationship of the manas with every area: mind with throat; mind with heart; mind with gut; mind with sacral area; mind with root. And observe what thoughts enter the play; that will give you an idea of where you need to work more.  Sri Vasudeva Day 25 Forty days 2017. For full talk and meditation go to  www.

Meditation on the Prana

free-incense-sticks-450x334-1.pngThe  spinal column is sacred; therein lies the fire of Kuṇḍalinī, burning Her way through the karmas that we have created.

If you want to bring energy to your hands, go to the heart. If you want to bring prāṇa to the gut, go to the centre of the gut. You want to go to the throat and bring Her to the throat, or brow and brain. So begin to explore. You are in a field of grace; this is the space of the Masters. The Masters’ energy is in this space, the guru tattva is in this space, your guru power is in this space.

Now there should be greater awareness of the entire spinal column. And you can subtly breathe up the column from the root to the brow, and breathe down the column, and that is how you traverse the sushumna nadi.

You stay in the practice until She becomes more and more visible in your space. Do not be impatient, do not give up. Give her a charming call, a child calling out lovingly to its Mother, “Please come Mother, I need you. Teach me, guide me, work with me. I am Yours Mother. Be my Guru, be my teacher. Nourish me, protect me, strengthen me.” Sri Vasudeva Day 24 Forty days 2017. For full talk and meditation go to  www.

Prana and fresh fruit

In response to Henk’s comment about the post on Experiencing the abundance of prana in fresh foods today I’ll give more details about the practice. Before I go into it I have to say that doing the breathing exercises helps me to have a greater sensitivity to prana so all the posts on this topic are linked with each other.

Lets first create the intention and ask for grace that we may be able to perceive the life force or prana in a small fruit for example a grape, a berry or a slice of apple. Then I try to expand my awareness of the fruit – how it looks, feels, smell. I begin to get a sense of it’s freshness, it’s aliveness. I hold the fruit in my hands while sending prayers of gratitude to all who have contributed to getting this fruit to me, and to the earth, plants, natural enviroment for nurturing this fruit, that all may be blessed.

I take a small bite, as small as I can make it. As I chew I keep an awareness of how my teeth is grinding the fruit, the flavors that are flooding my mouth, how the texture of the fruit is impacting my tongue, teeth and mouth. I keep chewing for as long as possible so that the fruit is thoroughly liquified. Then I swallow, following the movement of the juice as it goes down my throat and into my stomach. I pause to savor the experience. I continue eating the fruit.

Now I look to see how this fruit has impacted on physical body and my subtle energy body. Since it’s a small fruit the impact is subtle. My system feels lighter, more refreshed, lifted up, just like when I do breathing exercises.

Try this out and let me know how it works.
